District Delegates Meeting

October 2009

 Chairperson advised there will be 9 new delegates next year. Most delegates retiring because they had been in position 6years.

 New chairperson and delegate to board was appointed. Sandra Ritchie, New secretary to be appointed at a later date.

 

 Affiliation fees will rise by 4.9 percent.$35.87

 Made up of  :  W.G.V $22.61,      G.A$10.00         G.S.T  $  3.26             Inc. of $1.16

 

 Point of interest. Any club not just country who had water taken from their dams to fight fires will have the water replaced.

 

 Query raised as to why such an early start to W.G.V. Events i.e Doris Chambers:

Large fields both Morning  and Afternoon was answer. Also the issue of some clubs being balloted out seemed unfair. Should not happen and will be addressed.

 

 Australian Womens Open 12th-15th February. (ND - this date has now been changed - see website) Volunteers required. Check website - at least 600 needed.

 If you can not register for any reason you may like to participate in the Breakfast Morning.Get a table together (at a cost ? Not sure at this stage) Breakfast, Speaker,Entry to Open. This is a way to do your little bit.

Captains Meeting. A preview to the Open.Friday 23rd. October at Commonwealth.

 All captains were notified from office with a reminder from me.

 

 Amalgamation talks have resumed. They are meeting regularly. Steering committee now in progress.A copy of joint statement is available.

 

 W.G.V. Rules sessions are available on request.

 

 Clubs to check and update competition guidelines/conditions of play. Have everything written down this will avoid any nasty incident that can and will happen on any given day.

 Clinics run at city courses in 2009 open to all W.G.V. Members were a success. More in 20010

 F.Y.A. New format was a success.

 

 Seminar for handicapping late next year.

 State course rating committee will run training programmes at 4 country venues. Date T.B.A.

 Tournament programme  They are having some issues working to rectify same.
