Women's Tournaments Update - August 2011

State Stableford Series # 3 - Kialla GC - 19 September
This is the first event in the Series to be played in Country Victoria and it has been very well received - over 80 entries have been submitted already! To be eligible, your handicap must be between 28-44 at the time of entry. Entries close 2 September.
Joan Fisher Plate - Metropolitan GC - 7 October
This prestigious 36 hole event is run by Metropolitan GC. It is a GV State Average and Ranking Event with a handicap limit is of 12. Entries close 4 October.
Victorian Business Women's Championship and Salver - Castlemaine GC - Saturday & Sunday - 14 & 15 October
To be eligible for this event you must work at least 20 hrs/week. Played over 36 holes in 2 days, golfers on handicaps 0-18 will be competing for the Championship playing stroke. Golfers on handicaps 19 - 44 will compete for the Salver playing stableford. This is a great opportunity to do some networking while enjoying a weekend away. Entries are now open and closing date has been extended to 16 September. Don't miss it!
Victorian Spring Country Tournament - Barwon Heads and Lonsdale GCs - 10 & 11 October
This is the most popular event on our calendar and the capacity of 340 was reached within 2 days of opening. Please click here to see entries that have been received and accepted. There is a large waiting list for this event so, if you can't play, please let us know as soon as possible.
Zaidee Rainbow Foundation - Charity Golf Day & Gala Dinner - Yarra Yarra GC - 26 October
Come and support this charity which focusses on organ and tissue awareness. The entry fee for the 18-hole Team Stableford Event (four players – best two individual scores to count) is $199 per person and includes a pre-golf light lunch, special Zaidee pack, two-course Gala Dinner, all beverages and GST.
Royal Women's Hospital State Final - Metropolitan GC - 16 September
Districts must send their entry forms before 26 August. The draw for this event will be sent to the District Delegates next week. Click here to download District entry form.
A reminder to Lady Club Captains that closing dates for the following events are approaching.
Doris Chambers Cup - Entries close 2 September.
Silver Spoon - Entries close 9 September.
International Bowl and Mona MacLeod - Clsoing date has been extended to 2 September as some clubs have not been able to complete thier rounds due to the wet winter.
