Match Report October 2009

  We are pleased to announce Angela Dunn from Flinders was awarded the Gatehouse Award for being an outstanding Junior. We are very proud of Angela who has performed well with the Juniors and  also represented Country Teams. Angela is moving on to study so will not be with us next year.

 Hiscock Salver will be under review for next year. Disappointing field  2009 because of various reasons. The committee has a few ideas that may appeal.

 Junior Championships had to be canceled because of lack of entries.This was advertised state wide but no takers. Junior Co-ordinator Barb has done her best to no avail.Junior clinics were also canceled  due to lack of interest. We had the services of Tori C'Connor training Pro. Sorrento so this was very disappointing.

 Off the website . Golf Australia golf is teeing off at 2016 Olympics for the first time since 1904.

 Distance measuring devices (DMD) will be permitted for use by W.G.V from Jan 2010 in all W.G.V tournaments and events. We will be introducing same conditions in our conditions of play.

  Sandy and myself went to Portland for the Country Tournament with the purpose of taking notes. We will communicate with Flinders as they will be having a tournament in May 18th & 19th 2010. and the information we have gathered should help with there planning.

 We also had to cancel Seminar planned due to lack of interest not sure what is really required to hold interest for everybody.
