CERBERUS BOWL

Monday October 10th

Sixty three ladies from 21 clubs contested the Cerberus Bowl. The winning team was from Portsea, with 101 points. Pictured below with Lady President Sandy Halstead were Glenda Edmond, Robyn Parker and Mary-Paula Williamson

CARRINGTON PARK SALVER

Monday October 3rd

On a beautiful spring day at Carrington Park, the Salver, played this year as a three-person Ambrose, was won by the team from The Dunes. With a playing handicap of 14 the team of Bronwyn van Amerongen, Trish Stewart and Lilianne Kriegler scored a net 61 .

The runners up were Kath Dowd, C.Northcote and Pam Brown from Cerberus

on a combined handicap of 12.5 with a score of 63.5.

THE DUNES OPEN DAY FOR JUNIORS

A very successful Junior Open Day was held at The Dunes on Saturday September 10th. Fifteen young hopefuls were helped by the club's junior members, and enjoyed a sausage sizzle afterwards. Thanks to Val Bicknell and the Committee.

CARRINGTON PARK SENIORS' GOLF TOURNAMENT

Rosebud Park Golf course, in conjunction with Carrington Park Club, is running 2 golf tournaments for Seniors (over 55’s) on October 17th & 18th in conjunction with Seniors Victoria. This is part of a statewide festival for the benefit of seniors and to promote the well-being of seniors in the general community.

The tournament will only cost Seniors $25 per day to enter and includes 18 holes of golf, a show bag, prizes and a light lunch each day. -

Monday is Stableford for Men & Women with AGU Handicaps & a Non Handicap event.-

Tuesday’s event is a 4BBB for Men, Women & Mixed (AGU Handicap req’d.) & a Non Handicap event.

Each day will begin with Registration at 8.15 am for a shotgun start at 9.15am with lunch at Carrington Park Club at 1.30pm and presentations at approx. 2.00pm.

Tobin Brothers Funerals are the naming rights sponsor and Commonwealth Bank Rosebud are also supporting the event.

GOLDEN PUTTER CHARITY DAY

Although the weather was not very kind on the day, Rosebud CC had 194 ladies from 34 clubs participate in the Charity Day. Winners were Nanette Mitchell and Ann-Marie Lang from the National with 44 points. The beneficiary of the proceeds of the event was Frankston - Peninsula Carers.

WARBURTON GOLF CLUB

The Warburton Ladies Bowl was held on Monday 2nd May 2011. Unfortunately, the weather was not particularly kind to us, however, seventeen teams took on the rain and wintry conditions. Warburton 1 were the successful team on the day with 95 points. Individual winners were Cora Shovelton who won Silver Division (0-31 h/cap) and runner-up was Mary Barrot both from Warburton. Betty Shaw from Warburton was the individual winner of Bronze Division (32-45 h/cap) and the runner-up was Glenda Gorton from Berwick-Montuna. All in all a successful day for the ladies from Warby.
