Pennant
The 2009 season was I think successful. There some issues with the conditions of play and handicap match play. For the 2010 season the pennant conditions have been revised and will be issued in draft format for club captains to provide comment on. We have sought feedback from WGV which we only received late last week and have yet to discuss. I will be interested hear your comments. In 2010, all pennant will be stroke play- no handicap strokes given.
Interclub
The feedback we have received was positive. This year a flag was awarded to the winning team in the play off between the Divisions. In 2010, Interclub is planned to commence in August.
As many of you would be aware Ros’s husband Rick became very ill during the year. The work that Ros had done in preparing entry sheets, conditions of play, results sheets etc, made it very easy for me to pick up the remaining events in 2009. I would also like to thank Ros for the work that she did on the Conditions of Play and the District Duty statements- sounds easy but there were quite a few hours spent on the computer with emails flying backwards and forwards. Out walking recently Ros somehow broke a small bone in her foot so now she is on crutches for a while. Thank you Ros for all your work in 2009.
