FINAL ROUND - LOVELY WINTER DAYS!!!

After leading all season, The National took out top spot for Blue Division. Played at Mornington in chilly and sometimes sunny conditions, all groups managed to finish before the rain rolled in over the bay. MPDWG representative, Pauline Beet, presented The National team with their Pennant and badges. Well done and congratulations to all teams who competed in the event. Without your support there would not be such a worthwhile competition.

The Green Division was won by Berwick Montuna and the pennant was presented to them at Portsea by MPDWG Vice-president Judy Kingshott and Tournament Manager Val Peppler.  Congratulations to all who competed and thank you to the host clubs,

ROUND 4 - WEATHER NOT VERY GOOD!!

The Blues played on Thursday in cool but dry conditions - not so good on Friday for the Greens at Cerberus.

The last round next week sees The National likely to win the Blue Division with Mount Martha a possibility.  In the Green Division the competition is still open.  Good luck and good weather next week to all our teams.

Thank you to host clubs this week - Devilbend and Cerberus.


ROUND 2 - WEATHER IMPROVES!

Round 2 this week was played in delightful (Thursday) and OK (Friday) weather so players were much happier.  The competition is very even with many matches squared.  See the RESULTS and LEADERBOARDS  pages.  Thank yu to the host clubs Rosebud and Berwick Montuna.


HANDICAP MATCHPLAY HAS A WET START

The scheduling of this competition was changed this year because of the very wintry weather the players faced last year in August.  So what bad luck to have two such cold wet days this week.  But all matches were completed - congratulations to the winners and thank you to the host clubs The National and Flinders.

Eleven clubs have entered teams in the 2011 Handicap Matchplay competition,   for players with handicaps ranging from 24 to 45.

Matches began on May 26th for Blue Division clubs - Devilbend, Mornington, Mount Martha, RACV Cape Schanck, Rosebud and The National.  See  the links above for result. 

All matches will be on Thursdays.

  Green Divison starts on May 27 for Berwick Montuna, Cerberus, Flinders, Portsea and The Dunes, who will play on Fridays.

PENNANT FINAL ROUND

Our winning teams for 2011 were The National in Division 1, The Dunes in Division 2 and Cerberus in Division 3. Congratulations to them all and to all the clubs who contested a very interesting pennant season.

PENNANT ROUND 6

Divisions 1 and 2 have played on Thursday 14th - Division 3 played on Friday 15th.  There is a break in the season next week because of Easter, and the final round will be played on Thursday April 28th, at Mornington, Rosebud and Warburton.  These matches will decide the winners in Divisions 1 and 3.

Round 5 is completed - see links above for results and leaderboards.


 

PENNANT ROUND FOUR

Round 4 began on Thursday 31st at Rosebud, where Portsea and Mornington had wins and the two Sorrento teams drew their match.

Division 2 played at Flihders; and Cerberus was host to Division 3.

Matches were won by Flinders, Devilend, The Dunes and Mornington in Div 2, and Cerberus, Mount Martha and Safety Beach in Div 3.

PENNANT ROUND THREE

  Division 1 winners at Sorrento on Thursday were Rosebud and The National.  Portsea played a drawn match for the third successive week!  Is this a record?

Division 2 played at The Dunes in wild and windy weather but thankfully it stayed dry.  The winners were The Dunes, The National, Devilbend and Carrington Park.

.

Division 3 with a smaller number of teams had its first round today at Berwick Montuna.  Winners were the home club,Berwick Montuna, Cerberus and The Dunes.
